Running Horse Farm – Rustic Wedding Venue in Northeast Ohio

Hi, friends!! It has been awhile since I blogged, three years to be exact. I’m blaming the pandemic, it threw me off my game. Well, I am back at it!! I thought, what better way to start back up then focusing on one of my favorite venues?!

To date, I have captured 50 weddings at Running Horse Farm. Each of those wedding were unique, and none the same. I have captured Christmas themed weddings at the barn, book themed, wild flowered themed, boho, rustic, the list goes on and on. I even had a blizzard wedding back in March 2023.

What makes Running Horse Farm so amazing, besides how beautiful it is inside and out? One great reason is, all of your needed decor is included!! This alone is saving you hundreds of dollars, if not more. There is an entire room full of different table runners/colors, centerpieces, candles, flowers, signs, cake stands, and more. Months before your wedding, you setup a time to come in and do a mock setup. The morning of your wedding, the staff decorates the entire barn for you, just as you want it. Do you know how much time that saves you as well? It is amazing. You can also bring in any of your own decor, to make it more personal.

Now, let’s talk about the three different ceremony locations. There are two outdoor locations, the pond and the garden. Do I have a personal favorite? Of course I do, lol. My favorite is the garden side, feel free to ask me why in the comments! The garden side is off of the front/side of the barn. The bride/groom would come out of the barn, and straight down the aisle to the ceremony. There is a an arch, with a small garden behind it, along with beautiful views of the surrounding farmland. The pond is on the other side of the venue, with an arch and the pond with fountain just behind it. There is also the inside ceremony location, located on the first floor of the barn. It also has a beautiful arch than can be decorated to your liking.

You will love working with the staff of Running Horse Farm! This is a family owned and run small business. The farm has been in the family since the 1800s, and was a dairy farm. You can find more about their story on their website. I have been working with the owners for years now, even taking their own family photos. Fun fact, they also own the vineyard across the street, and those grapes are Harvested for Welches! Working with the owner Megan is a breeze, and she goes above and beyond for her couples. The staff is also the best, always keeping the barn so clean and beautiful, and decorating everything perfectly.

There are SO many beautiful spots around Running Horse Farm, that there is no need to travel off site for photos. The views change with the seasons, but always beautiful no matter the season. In the summer there is a sunflower field, and rumor has it there will soon be a wildflower field as well. Also, the sunsets are gorgeous!!! I will let the photos speak for themselves.

Moving on to the second floor of Running Horse Farm, there is the reception space. It is a huge open space, with beautiful wood floors, and amazing chandeliers(they make for great photos!). There is also a big screen tv, that your DJ can play a slideshow on. One wedding I had in 2020, the brides brother could not come due to restrictions in Australia. So, he surprised her with a video recording that had us all crying!

Not only can you have your dream wedding at the farm, but you can have a photo session there as well! With permission from the owners, and only when there is not an event going on, you can do a whole photo shoot. For one of my RHF couples, I shot their wedding there and 9 months later their maternity session!

Being a preferred vendor at the farm, I do offer 20% off the prices in my wedding packages brochure. Reach out soon to get your date booked! 2024 is almost fully booked, and 2025 dates are filling up quickly!!
